Cindy Bray Replaces Mary Ann Hawkins
as Office Manager
Early on the Board of Directors realized they needed
someone to plan and organize the daily operations of
Crossroads. They were led to Mary Ann Hawkins who
is a trained social worker and wife of Mickey Hawkins,
pastor of Cinco Baptist Church.
Mary Ann quickly studied other free medical clinics
and took the best practices from a number of them and
organized Crossroads. For almost four years, Mary Ann
has served as our office manager. She is responsible
for the amazing efficiency of our office staff and procedures.
Recently, Mary Ann has incorporated her parents into
her household and is no longer able to give the time
needed to run Crossroad’s office. However, she is joining
our Board of Directors as a new director.
For several years, Cindy Bray has been serving as
Crossroad’s assistant office manager. On Mary Ann’s
recommendation, the Board of Directors asked Cindy to
assume the position of office manager.
Cindy is an active member of Oakland Baptist Church
and has a background in retail management. Her detailed
knowledge of the operations and personnel of
Crossroads and her management background make her
an ideal person to replace Mary Ann in the office.
Cindy feels God has prepared her and called her to
serve in this position. She said, “I have been blessed
from the day I began volunteering at Crossroads. I am
honored to be able to share Christ and serve the Lord and
our community in this way.”
